Clinic Name: Firearms For Women

Short Description:  A class for women that are beginner shooters where students can shoot several different types of handguns and get an idea of which one to buy for their specific needs and also receive training with a home defense shotgun.  Or, if you have your own handgun, bring it and learn the correct way to shoot your gun and be safe with it.  We cover the basics of stance, grip, sight alignment, sight picture, breathing, trigger squeeze, and follow through and more.  Both classroom and range time.  This course will prepare you to take your concealed carry class. Teaching safe gun handling is always the main priority.  This six hour class is for women only.   We have a covered shooting range.

• Students will learn the  fundamentals of shooting using a .22 caliber revolver and semi-automatic
• Students will  shoot different center fire revolvers and semi-automatics from .380 to .45 caliber
• Students will  learn how to shoot a home defense shotgun
• All guns and ammunition will be provided ($20 dollar value)
• Learn in the company of women
• Learn in a safe and friendly environment

NOTE:  This clinic can be customized to fit your needs.  For example, if you already know the basics but would like to shoot a variety of handguns to get a better idea of which gun you would like to carry, we can work with you.

• Must be 18 years old (exception for parent and child)
• Bring eye and ear protection and a baseball style hat
• Registration deadline – Five days prior to class date
• The class is limited to 8 women so sign up early

January 21, 2012.  Signup deadline is January 16th.

February 18, 2012.  Signup deadline is February 13th.

March 31, 2012.  Signup deadline is March 26th.

TIME: 8:00 – 2:00

WHERE:   Bass Pro in Broken Arrow for the classroom portion and then to the Tulsa Gun Club for shooting at the range (see www.tulsagunclub.com for directions)
