Personal Instruction
During a phone interview, we can discuss your needs and our suggested instruction to help you meet your goals.
Instruction will take place either outside or inside (additional cost for inside training), depending on your preference.
I can train you on the operation and shooting of your firearm and/or I can provide firearms for you.
My rate is $30 per hour (for one student, price drops for more than one student), a $5.50 per day range fee, plus the cost of my ammunition with a two hour minimum for instruction of beginners. For couples, the cost is $25/person/hour plus a $5.50 per day range fee per person plus ammo. If we are shooting inside, there is an additional lane fee. If you are a beginning shooter, I would strongly encourage for you to start with a three hour class. Most students usually take two — two to three hour classes.
If you are considering buying a handgun, but not sure what handgun to buy, I offer several handguns for you to shoot of different size, weight, and caliber for you to compare the differences. Depending if you are planning on carrying your handgun or only have it for protection in your home or both, I can point out some helpful facts that will help you in making the decision on which handgun to buy.
If you are an experienced shooter but having problems with your shot placement, we can probably address this in less than two hours.
Regarding Skeet or Trap lessons: If you have always wanted to learn how to shoot these games now is the time. The cost is $25/hour with a two hour minimum + $5.50 range use fee per person. I would plan on three hours for the first lesson as we learn the basics as well start you shooting the clay birds. You are responsible for your own shells and the cost of the round (which is 25 clay targets). Bring your own shotgun or I have shotguns you can rent for $10 for the session. I have shotguns appropriate for women or youth as well as for men.
(I try to make taking a lesson as easy as possible. I understand that you may not have purchased shotgun shells before. For this reason, if you would like me to pick up the appropriate shotgun shells and pay me the cost, just let me know, I would be happy to take care of this.)
